Tiny little cucumbers (Melothria scabra) known in Mexico as “sandíita” (little watermelon) and branded here as mouse melons. They have a prominent cucumber flavor with notes of sourness. A nice crunchy addition to summer salads, salsas and pickles. A delicious amusement in your garden. Growing method: - Sow indoors in April using peat pellets to reduce the shock of transplanting. - Sow in the garden after the last frost. - This plant likes loose, rich and fresh soil. - Cucumbers are ready to eat when they reach a size of approximately 3 cm.
