The Double Play Spirea 'Doozie' is very popular for the spectacular coloring of its foliage. Dark green with new red shoots during the summer, then orange-red in fall and spring, this spirea is beautiful throughout the seasons. It also has pretty purple-red flowers which attract butterflies and which does not produce any seeds, making this shrub very easy to care for. Excellent resistance to deer and very hardy. Prefers full sun, tolerates partial shade. Prune damaged branches only in spring.
