The Spirea Doule Play 'Candy Corn' is a totally splendid small shrub! With its bright yellow foliage and its new red and orange shoots, it will certainly bring color to the garden all summer season. In addition, abundant small dark purple flowers appear in June and July, which delight butterflies and hummingbirds. Low maintenance, pruning can be done after flowering, if desired. Spirea is generally resistant to deer and hares.
