An avalanche of small, very hot and colorful fruits, from deep purple to cream to orange and to bright red when mature. Basket of Fire has a unique plant habit making it the perfect choice for hanging baskets and containers. The plants have a good tolerance to cooler weather. Harvested fruits will spice up your dishes until late in the fall. The fruits are also easy to dry. The name says it all: this compact little plant is an explosion of colour. Yellow, orange, bright red and deep purple peppers. Use fresh or dried, peppers have a rating of 80,000 SHU. Extremely versatile, and plants have a good tolerance of cooler weather. Great in a container. Growing method: - Sow seeds indoors 6 to 8 weeks before the last frost in light potting soil under artificial light. - A heating mat is recommended to accelerate germination. - Transplant into the garden, in full sun, as soon as the risk of ground frost has passed and the nights are warmer (12⁰c). - Water regularly during the flowering period. - Fertilize once a month with a fertilizer rich in potassium.
