Cordyline comes from South Asia and Hawaii and almost resembles a palm tree. Its long lanceolate leaves, erect towards the sky and colorful, are often used to make Hawaiian skirts, roofs and baskets. The foliage is very decorative thanks to the vibrant colors of hot pink, red, burgundy and dark green. In their countries of origin, this shrub can reach around 4 m high. In Quebec, it will rarely be higher than a meter and a half. Cordyline requires indirect lighting and the soil must be allowed to dry between waterings. It tends to wither when the air is too dry or if there is a lack of water. Do not flower indoors. Tropical indoor plant.
