The perennial asparagus 'Guelph Millenium' is grown in the vegetable garden for its young, uniform and delicious tender shoots. It is picked from April to June, from the third year of planting, then it is possible to harvest it for almost 15 years thereafter. The particularity of this variety is that it only produces male plants, limiting the production of seeds on the plants. This vegetable is particularly rich in vitamin C and is known for its delicious taste. The superb foliage is very decorative in summer, even taking on a very surprising yellow autumn color.
