The Venus flytrap, or flycatcher, is a carnivorous plant that grows in swamps and peat bogs. It therefore has a great need for constant humidity. A terrarium is almost essential to its survival in the climates of our homes, or at least a bed of clay balls.

We water as soon as the soil begins to become dry. She prefers non-calcareous water, like rainwater, for example. Many came away disappointed from their short experience with this mysterious and beautiful plant, because they had not set up a sufficiently humid environment.
