Directions for Use
For optimal results, sow in spring or early autumn, when temperatures range between 15°C and 26°C (60°F to 80°F).
- Prepare:
- Overseeding: Mow lawn at the lowest setting. Rake to loosen the top layer of soil and remove clippings.
- Bare Soil: Rake to loosen the soil to a depth of 3 to 5 cm.
- Apply: Use a Scotts® spreader for even distribution.
Technical Note: Refer to the setting chart on the back of the bag to calibrate your spreader based on application type. - Incorporate: Rake lightly (approx. 3 mm deep) to ensure optimal seed-to-soil contact.
- Water: A crucial step. Maintain soil moisture with light daily misting until the grass reaches 5 cm in height.
Understanding the Formulation (12-0-0)
This seed blend includes targeted nutrition to maximize the success of your low-maintenance lawn:
- Nitrogen (12%): The driving force for a dense lawn that naturally crowds out weeds. It ensures reliable establishment and a lasting deep green colour.
- Phosphorus (0%) and Potassium (0%): This specialized formula focuses nutrient delivery on slow-release nitrogen, perfect for stimulating foliage without overloading the soil.
- Coating Technology: Advanced coating allows nutrients to be released according to the plant's needs, ensuring constant feeding and preventing waste through leaching.
