Balanced nutrition for flavorful fruits and living soil

Fafard 4-1-4 natural fertilizer is specifically designed to meet the needs of plants that thrive in acidic soil, such as blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, azaleas, and rhododendrons. Its unique formula not only promotes an abundant harvest but also stimulates the biological life of the soil. This fertilizer ensures healthy and sustained growth throughout the entire season.

Why Choose This Fertilizer?

Key Features

  • 4-1-4 Formula: A perfect balance of nitrogen and potash to support both foliage development and fruit quality.
  • Natural Source: Composed of organic matter that feeds the plant while sustainably improving soil structure.
  • Extended Action: Gradually releases nutrients, preventing the risk of root burn and ensuring constant nutrition.
  • Gentle Acidifier: Helps maintain the low pH levels required for optimal nutrient uptake by acid-loving plants.

Benefits for Your Harvest

  • Enhanced Flavor: Natural potash improves the sugar content and overall taste of small fruits.
  • Robust Plants: Strengthens the structure of stems and shrubs to better support the weight of fruit at maturity.
  • Eco-Friendly: A sustainable solution that is safe for the environment, pets, and children when used as directed.

Instructions and Application

For best results, apply fertilizer in early spring and repeat every 4 to 6 weeks during the growing season.

1. Planting

  • Mix 100 g (approx. 1/2 cup) of fertilizer per m² into the potting mix or garden soil.
  • Water thoroughly to activate the natural components.

2. Maintenance (Established Plants)

  • Sprinkle the fertilizer on the soil surface under the foliage (at the drip line).
  • Use approximately 50 g per plant or follow the surface area recommendations on the packaging.
  • Lightly incorporate into the soil using a hand rake without damaging the roots.
  • Water immediately after application.

Expert Tips and Precautions

  • Winter Preparation: Stop applications at the end of July to allow the plant to prepare for winter dormancy (lignification).
  • Storage: Store in a cool, dry place out of reach of animals (the organic scent may attract them).
  • Optimization: For blueberries, ensure you also use acidic peat moss during planting to maintain an optimal pH level.

Note: These results were obtained through independent testing. Individual results may vary depending on environmental conditions.
