The 'Cascadia' snap pea is a gardener's favourite for its crunchy pods and exceptionally sweet peas. This snap-type variety is eaten whole, offering a fleshy and juicy texture. Although the plants are compact in size, they are highly productive and benefit from light trellising to keep the pods clean and make harvesting easier. From the Tourne-Sol co-operative farm, these certified organic seeds are known for their excellent resistance to common spring diseases.
Culture
- Sow as soon as the soil thaws in early spring, as this variety thrives in cool weather and tolerates light frosts.
- Provide a small trellis or stakes to support the plants and maximize garden space.
- Harvest regularly once the pods are well-formed, approximately 60 days after sowing.
- Sow seeds at a depth of 3 cm (1").
