Productive variety which gives fruits of 5 to 10 cm, very shiny and of a beautiful bright red. This pepper has been cultivated since the 17th century in the small village of Espelette in France, where the Espelette pepper festival is even celebrated. No stronger than pepper, the fruit is however very fragrant, it offers its full flavor once dried and reduced to powder. Scoville: 2000, hot. Maturity: 80 to 100 days.
