Mahogany has small, rounded mahogany-red and bronze-green leaves. It produces a multitude of small blue-purple flowers. This ground cover plant is dense and compact, and easy to maintain. It will embellish shady corners with its carpet of blue flowers. Very resistant, it can grow in the shade of trees, even where grass has difficulty establishing itself. It also allows you to avoid weeding, leaving no room for weeds. This undergrowth plant does not like drought, so a partial shade or shade environment allows it to stay cool. It can take direct sun, but must not lack water.
