- Light tamping: Lightly tamp the potting mix around the plant.
- Watering: Water moderately until water drains from the drainage holes.
- Care: Avoid overwatering and allow the potting mix to dry slightly between waterings.
Understanding the Formulation
Fafard African Violet Potting Mix is a carefully balanced blend of sphagnum peat moss, perlite and/or vermiculite, and other organic matter. Sphagnum peat moss retains moisture while ensuring good aeration, while perlite and/or vermiculite improve drainage and the lightness of the mix. This combination creates an ideal environment for the fine and delicate roots of African violets and other Gesneriaceae.
