The “Cherokee Star” daylily is a perennial plant with spectacular flowering in mid-summer. Its large cherry red flowers, measuring 15 to 17 cm in diameter, stand on flower stalks 60 to 75 cm high. The inside of the flowers have a prominent greenish-yellow center, creating a lovely contrast with the petals. Its flowering is abundant and begins around mid or end of July. Daylilies tolerate heat, drought, poor soils, and urban environments. Perfect in beds, these perennial plants bring remarkable brilliance to the garden, with their constant cycle of floral renewal.
