Biedermeier is a beautiful mix of colorful flowers, on short sturdy stems. The flowering is abundant and its shades of yellow, red, white, pink, lilac and purple are joyful. They appear in May and the flowers can be used to make pretty spring bouquets. These attract hummingbirds and butterflies. Its foliage is bushy, dark green, and strongly jagged. Columbines prefer cool, moist soil, so partial shade is perfectly fine, however, they like heat, so they can be in full sun without a problem, you just need to make sure you have a cool soil.
